14 Days of Thanks: Day 9/10

  • Posted on November 21, 2009 at 22:47

I don’t know what happened yesterday but I didn’t get a blog post done. To be honest, I think I feel asleep! So, today, you get 2 days worth

Day 9: I am Thankful for Chris’ job

Back on September 1st Chris took at Job at Swissport Aviation. I am so thankful that he not only has the job, which is good steady good paying work, but that he also loves his job. He enjoys going to work every day and is great at what he does. Many people can’t say that. Many our unemployed or hate going to work everyday and thanks to God, we are not in that situation!! Keep up the great work Chris!

Day 10: I am thankful for the ability to purchase what is needed for our family

This goes hand in hand with the good steady job. I am thankful that we don’t have to worry about where our food will come from, or how we will pay our bills every month. I see and hear about so many people who have this struggle every day and I realize how blessed we are to not have that worry. I’m not saying we are rich because we are not, but God has provided us with the money we need. The only reason I would like to have more money is so I could help those in need.

It is amazing to me to sit back and look at what we have. God has given us way more than we deserve and I hate that it takes a holiday for us to see what we are blessed with. My wish for you is that you sit down and think about what you have been given and be truly thankful! We should be thanking God daily for what we are given!

14 Days of Thanks: Day 8

Today I am thankful for internet

It isn’t until you don’t have it (like right now) that you realize how much you use it. Luckily I have internet on my phone to check bills and bank info if needed and to stay connected with friends and family. And I am also able to use my phone to write a blog post!

I am not thankful for AT&T whose service is aweful. We moved our reciever 2 feet and lost all cable and internet service. They have no clue what’s wrong so we are waiting for a tech to come out tomorrow afternoon.

I am thankful that we are able to afford to have these little extras in life. Maybe I should use this outage to become less dependent on TV and cable.
I just ask why it had to happen on the best night of TV. I will have to watch Survivor and Greyls Anatomy online (when we get that back)
