Super Day

It is Super Bowl Sunday! I am sad to say that my Dallas Cowboys did not make it to the big stage tonight but what a game it was! The New Orleans Saints made an their first every appearance and did it with a rookie Quarterback in Drew Brees.  They were taking on an experienced Super Bowl Champion team in the Indianapolis Colts.  I have always liked the Colts Quarterback, Peyton Manning.  Up until about an hour before the game I was not sure who I was going to root for.  I had told myself all I wanted was a good close game and some very funny commercials.  I didn’t really get either tonight.  I decided just before kick-off that I was going to root for the Saints due to the fact that they were the underdogs and I like it when the underdog wins.  Chris told me that he is a Cowboys fan but has always liked the Colts so that was who he would be cheering for.  So the stage in our house was set.  Who would end the night happy?  Here are a few pictures to show a time line of the  game.

Chris was relaxing on “his” couch watching the game, while Isaac was chillin’, and kicking his Dad in the stomach.

Chris was happy because……

At the end of the 3rd Quarter the Colts were leading by 1! Peyton Manning had only 15 minutes to go.

Jordan was not interested in the game or commercials and decided to play on his laptop instead. (We are going to have to have a talk with him about this…our kids WILL love football…)

Chris’ happy feeling did not last long, because…….

the SAINTS WON!!! Who Dat? Geaux Saints!!!

The final score of the 44th Super Bowl is 31-17.  What a great game and a great evening with the family.
